Marque Technologies (Tianjin) Ltd, a wholly own subsidiary company of Marque Magnetics (2000) Ltd of New Zealand, was established in Tianjin Trade Free Zone, Teda, Tianjin in 2009.

Marque Magnetics came into being in April of 1986 through the efforts and vision of two men, Bob Smith and Erick Jensen, who saw the need for a highly technical custom wound component manufacturing company in the Australasian market.

With a vision of providing: ¡°The right engineered solution for power electronics ¨C fast¡±, Marque Magnetics have grown from a purely local partner to New Zealand industry, to one with customers around the world. In order to service this growing demand for our design services and products, we established a joint venture manufacturing operation in Tianjin, Northern China in 2001 and then opened our second factory in the same city in October 2009. At the same time and due to having a highly technical focus, we maintain a full staff of design engineers specialized in magnetics in our New Zealand Engineering Centre as well as in our manufacturing plants in China.
